"Hey Bill, I just wanna say I bought a heavy duty wallet from you two
years ago and it is perfect. I have a ton of other wallets that I switch
in and out of but I always come back to that one. Thanks for the great
work"
Wallet a customer has had for three years was sent in for reconditioning. They did a great job taking care of it. This was one of the very first vintage wallets I made.
I knew it would be beautifully well-made, but the wallet far exceeded
our expectations. I can't say how impressed we both are. We're horse
people, dressage to be exact, and we don't own a single piece of tack
that is made as well.
Excellent work. You're a true craftsman and artist. Well done.
Hey Bill,
Just wanted to drop you a
line and let you know I'm quite happy with the wallet I purchased from
you. I've been using this wallet exclusively over the past two years and
it's aged quite well. I've attached some pics in case you wanted to
share them and this review with prospective customers. I receive
compliments on your work regularly and plan to use this until it falls
apart...which is probably unlikely. Thank you for excellent
craftsmanship.

At two years
this looks great. The spider web like cracks around the edges mean the
finish is starting to go and it needs reconditioned soon. At this point
the leather has not been damaged. |

I wish I could
take pics this good. After this was made the rivets are pounded down
slightly more to prevent those dents for aesthetics. The pictured
version may be stronger than the modern version as they have more copper
but it is hard to say. Again note the spider web like cracks. I
wouldn't suggest to let a wallet go so long without conditioning but it
is still fine as the leather has not yet been dried out. It does need
some Aussie or Pro Cream very soon. Cracks lead to wrinkles. Sometimes
during especially harsh winters leather goods need extra care. I know
in the last 6 month Winter we had I was doing my boots every few weeks
to keep them waterproof. I would suggest at minimum for longevity to
condition fine leather goods quarterly. |

Those edges
could use a quick buff with Saddle Soap but otherwise look great. I am
so glad this wallet has served you well and look forward to seeing it in
a few more years. Thank you.
If anyone else has any
comments or questions feel free to send me a message. That is
definitely a plus over buying things from corporations. You can talk
DIRECTLY to the person who made it. I have no interest in selling you
the same thing twice. It would be embarrassing. I am here so you tell
your friends and family. |
